Saint-Saëns Swan for Cello and String Orchestra

This is the only movement from The Carnival of the Animals that the composer allowed to be played in public during his lifetime. He thought the remaining movements were too frivolous and would damage his reputation as a serious composer. Here is an arrangement for cello and string orchestra.

This aria is taken from a Suite or Ouverture in Gmajor BWV 1070.  It is believed that this work was actually composed by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.
