Yanshinov

Aleksey Yanshinov (1871–1943) was a Russian violinist, composer, and teacher who studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Jan Hřímalý, one of the leading violin professors of the era, and Anton Arensky, whose influence shaped much of his musical character. His compositions, primarily for violin and chamber combinations, are rooted in the late Romantic Russian tradition and reflect the lyrical, expressive qualities he absorbed from his teachers. He worked as a pedagogue in Moscow throughout his career, and his teaching contributed to the continuity of the Russian violin school through the early Soviet period.
