The cello concerto repertoire is one of the glories of the orchestral canon. Dvořák, Elgar, Haydn, Boccherini, Schumann — these are works that string orchestras want to programme, and good performance materials for the combination are not always straightforward to find.
This section focuses on cello and string orchestra editions: concerto reductions, shorter concert pieces, and works suited to a school or youth orchestra context. String orchestra accompaniment is our core specialism, so these editions are prepared with a particular attention to how the parts work together in rehearsal.
