Viola and Orchestra

Viola and orchestra

The viola concerto repertoire is smaller than that of the violin or cello, which makes good editions all the more important. The Walton and Bartók concertos are the towering works in the catalogue; beyond them, there are concertos by Telemann, Stamitz, and Hoffmeister, and a growing body of twentieth-century works that deserve more attention than they typically receive.

We're building this section to serve soloists, conductors, and students preparing for auditions or performance. If there's a work you need and can't find here, please get in touch. Requests shape what we add next.
