Violin and String Orchestra

Violin and string orchestra

The violin and string orchestra combination sits at the heart of what we do at MyMusicScores. Concerto reductions for strings, orchestrations of recital pieces, and purpose-written educational concertos are all areas we know well.

The pedagogical concerto repertoire alone is substantial. Rieding, Seitz, Küchler, Accolay, Dancla — these are pieces that student soloists and their orchestras return to year after year, and having parts that are clearly engraved and well balanced makes a real difference in rehearsal.

Beyond the teaching repertoire, there's a strong tradition of arranging full orchestral concertos for string orchestra, which opens up works by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, and Mendelssohn to ensembles without a full symphony orchestra at their disposal.

If there's a work you'd like to see here, please get in touch. Requests shape what we add next.
